As a Principal in our National Quality group, I make sure our advisors deliver their best to our clients. I oversee our quality process to ensure colleagues follow current industry regulations and policies, and bring together our people in meaningful ways so they can share best practices and their personal experiences from the field. Our strong quality control practices ensure effective risk management and drive operational improvements—all aimed at providing best-in-class client service.
With a background in audit and assurance, I help ensure consistency in our client experiences. I feel passionate about the role and genuinely thrive on setting up and exceeding the highest quality standards. As a leader, I invest my time in the coaching, growth, and development of my colleagues.
Giving back to the community in multiple ways is an important part of my life. I support the firm’s charitable arm as a member of the Grant Thornton Foundation Governance and Nominating Committee. Away from Grant Thornton, I’m actively involved with CPA Nova Scotia as a member, volunteer, and the Chair of the Practice Inspection Committee. In this role, I help enhance the CPA brand by reviewing members’ inspection results and determining if professionals met high CPA standards. I have been a member of the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce for 20 years and serve as Head Judge of the annual Business Awards. Working with students and educators is also gratifying for me, which is why for almost 10 years, I’ve been collaborating with Acadia University judging the F.C. Manning School of Business Case Competition.
When I'm not in the office, you can find me spending time with my family, friends, or walking my dog. My other interests include curling, golf, and traveling.
