Taking the time to truly listen to my clients and their story is what I’m most passionate about. Every day is different in an ever-changing business landscape with new obstacles and opportunities to uncover. Helping my clients navigate business challenges drives me, whether they need support with succession planning and conflict resolution or tax compliance and tax planning.
Focused on building trusting relationships through transparent and timely communication, I like to be proactive by routinely checking-in on my clients to understand what they’re dealing with daily and foresee which strategies can best achieve their business goals. With access to a large network of knowledge and resources, I also bring in my fellow advisors to help address my clients’ specific needs when required.
Since starting my career with the Firm in 2010, I have a great sense of the local business environment and have developed a strong professional network. With experience advising on corporate and personal matters, I ensure my clients make well-grounded decisions when it comes to preserving or growing their wealth.
Passionate about enhancing the level of our professional standards, I serve as chair on our National Caseware Working Group. In this role, I collaborate with my colleagues to revise and align existing practices to ensure our work is effective as well as efficient for clients. Regionally, I also lead our team during personal tax season. Coaching my fellow colleagues has been deeply rewarding as I enjoy supporting their growth journeys or simply acting as a sounding board whenever they need.
Giving back to my community is important, which is why I participated in the Firm’s Vibrant Communities program. In my captain role, I trained teams on how to conduct an interview and gathered community members’ insights to help inspire and motivate participants as we continue to build a strong and resilient Newfoundland and Labrador.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my two young boys. Depending on the season, you can find me golfing or curling.
