Working with family businesses to help them reach their financial goals is what I’m most passionate about. It’s rewarding to build strong relationships with each generation of a family to support the preservation of their legacy.
With over 20 years of experience, I provide tax, estate and business succession planning advice to family-held businesses across various industries. I bring in-depth knowledge in advising private businesses and high net worth families on a wide range of taxation and business matters. This includes wealth preservation, business reorganization, gift and inheritance tax planning, and trust and estate tax services, as well as advice related to acquisitions or divestitures.
In addition to my professional work, I enjoy being involved in my community by sharing my knowledge through presentations and courses. In recent years, I’ve been an instructor for CPA BC and made presentations to members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).
I also dedicate a significant amount of my time to various non-profit organizations. I currently hold the past chair position for STEP’s Vancouver branch, and I’m involved with the Tax Technical Committee for STEP Canada.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, cycling, and spending time with my wife and two children.
