From waste reduction to procurement processes, see how we’re taking action to protect our environment.
We engage in environmental activities where we feel we can have a direct impact. How we consume energy requires both collective and individual action. From energy efficient fixtures and HVAC systems, thermal and occupancy sensors to recycled equipment and furniture, we’re mindful of how we consume energy. When possible, our facility design work falls within LEED and WELL AP standards and we strive to sign leases following these practices.
Our environmental practices makes for better offices and contributes to the world. In 2023, we introduced biophilia as we look to incorporate more plants and natural landscape features into our built environment. We also use low VOC or water-based paints, use eco-friendly materials in our furnishing, and donate or recycle office furniture with office decommissioning or renovations. These are all steps we’re taking to create a more sustainable workplace.
Our procurement policies align with ESG practices as we establish vendor codes of conduct, partner with vendors that offer environmentally friendly products or programs, and include ESG related questions within our Request for Proposal selection process. Currently, we’re exploring the use of eco-friendly cleaning products to use in our facilities
We’re conscious of our waste management practices and have digitized most of our records, minimized single use plastics—opting for reusable products. We’re also using water pitchers in lieu of plastic bottles in meetings, recyclable or compostable coffee pods, and environmentally safe and sustainable products. A scorecard is reviewed annually to check progress on environmental commitments.
