Grant Thornton named one of the 2021 Best Workplaces for Inclusion

Toronto, ON (May 18, 2021)- Doane Grant Thornton LLP is proud to be recognized for a third time as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Inclusion.

The 2021 list of recipients was released today by Great Place to Work®, an independent authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures.

“We’re honoured to once again be named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Inclusion,” said Kevin Ladner, Executive Partner and CEO of Doane Grant Thornton LLP. “We’re proud of our award-winning culture, where each colleague is encouraged to grow, make a difference and has equitable access to opportunities for advancement. We strive to create an environment where our colleagues feel heard, valued, and feel they belong.”

Grant Thornton’s Leading Inclusively strategy is based on the belief that equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging are critical to the firm’s success. “Grant Thornton has made a commitment to lead inclusively in everything we do. It’s vitally important that all our colleagues feel inspired to be their best and empowered to succeed, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and other diverse personal attributes,” said Sharon Healy, Chief People & Culture Officer of Doane Grant Thornton LLP.

The list of Best Workplaces for Inclusion is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. Eligible organizations must be Great Place to Work certified in the past year and at least 90% of employees must agree they are treated fairly, regardless of personal characteristics (such as gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation). The “best” list is based on employee responses to inclusion-related Trust Index statements.
