Grant Thornton is one of Canada’s Best Workplaces™

Toronto, ON (April 24, 2024)—Grant Thornton has once again been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces™ by the Great Place to Work® Institute. This is the 17th consecutive year that Grant Thornton has been included on this list, after a rigorous and independent review of feedback from our colleagues.

Grant Thornton thrives because our colleagues thrive. We’re committed to providing the best colleague experience in our industry. Our focus on coaching, skills development, and providing equitable access to opportunities helps ensure our people can live amazing lives fuelled by rewarding careers.

“The Grant Thornton culture is a precious and strategic differentiator for our firm,” says Sharon Healy, Chief People & Culture Officer, Grant Thornton. “We believe that the relationships we build leave a lasting impression, and I’m so grateful to work alongside people who are dedicated to creating a great experience for one another.”

Kevin Ladner, CEO and Executive Partner, Grant Thornton, adds: “As a purpose-driven organization our priorities are clear. Helping clients, colleagues and communities thrive provides meaningful opportunities for each of us to grow. This creates an inspiring workplace with talented people all working together to make a difference. I’m incredibly proud to be a member of the Grant Thornton team.”

In addition to this recognition, Grant Thornton is also proud to be named a Best Workplace for Today’s Youth™, Best Workplace with Most Trusted Executive Teams™, and Best Workplaces for Women™ by Great Place to Work® in 2024.

The 2024 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process to be ranked on this list is employee driven and represents multiple industries and sizes of organizations. List rankings are based on employee feedback, which are analyzed to determine the extent to which this experience is shared by the full workforce. Great Place To Work® measures the differences in survey responses across demographic groups and roles within each organization to assess both the quality and consistency of the employee experience. Using the Trust Index™ employee survey, Great Place To Work® measures the core of what creates great workplaces—key behaviors that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company. Statements are weighted according to their relevance in describing the most important aspects of an equitable workplace. This study offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture.

This year’s list captures the experience and sentiment of 330,000 employees, rolling out to impact over 600,000 Canadian employees.
